The user can prompt the Minilux Sensor DT and MiniluxSensor UL
to report its status via a coded sequence of LED flashes (See fig. B
for explanation of codes).
To interrogate the sensor, stand within 3 meter of it, hold your hand
up (palm toward the sensor) and wave five times rapidly toward the
sensor. Be sure to move your hand back and forth, not side to side,
as if pushing air toward the sensor. The sensor should immediately
begin reporting its status.
Adjusting the Photocell (Minilux xx-A with relay and photo-
cell)
Photocell Operation.
The photocell prevents the lights
from turning on when the area is
adequately lit with natural light. The
sensor must be mounted directly
over an area that is representative
of the average, natural room light-
ing. Wait until the natural light is
bright enough to adequately light
the room before setting the photo-
cell control, see fig. A.
Adjusting the “Lights Not ON” Level
1. Place timer in test mode.
Begin by setting the black timer knob to the 8-second
test mode (full counterclockwise). (Turn control full
clockwise, then full counterclockwise. Timer will remain
in 8 second test mode for one hour unless the knob is
moved to another setting).
2. Set photocell to max.
Now adjust the blue photocell knob full clockwise,
which will keep the lights on no matter how bright the
natural lights is, then just slightly counterclockwise
from that position (about 30 degress).
3. Check for lights-out.
Step down and move yourself and your ladder out from
underneath the sensor. Remain absolutely still and
wait for the lights to turn off. Now move around enough
to normally turn the lights on.
4. Adjust to desired level.
If the lights do turn on adjust the blue photocell knob
another 30°, move away, wait for the lights to turn off,
then test it again. Repeat this process until the lights
remain off.
Minimum: (Low)
Lights will never
come on, even
though room is
occupied.
Maximum: (High)
Photocell has to
effect on operation (factory
setting)
Light will allways
come on.
Normal:
200 to 600 LUX is
normal range 50%.

Setting timer to test (8 seconds black potentiometer)
1. Open the retainer ring.
2. Rotate the black knob for maximum timer adjustment (100%).
3. Return setting to minimum setting (0%).
4. The timer will remain in the 8 second test mode for 1 hour, the automatically reset to 8 minutes.
5. To manually take the timer out of the 8 second test mode, turn the timer adjustment clockwise to make the
setting slightly above minimum (just above the 8 minute setting).
