Appropriate use
The FT 80 RLA sensor is not authorised for use in protecting human safety on machines and
during technical applications.
The FT 80 RLA is an optical sensor and measures distances without contact. When combined (see examples of use)
with another FT 80 RLA sensor, the thickness of objects can also be measured (only possible with S1 versions, see
“Order information”, page 44).
