Flammable gas detectors identification
SMART S detectors are available in two versions: SMART S-SS and SMARTS-IS with intrinsic
safety and galvanic isolation, SMART S-MS without display. This last model is certified for
marine applications. The display use is described in the proper manual.
SMART S-MS
can have different enclosures:

3A (Alluminum standard enclosure)
▪
4A (Alluminum without copper enclosure)
▪
6S (Stainless steel enclosure)
Depending on the main board, the SMART-S-MS can be identified with the following
numbers:
▪
11 (main board with a digital RS485 output and a 4-20 mA analogue output),
▪
13 (main board with a digital RS485 output and a 4-20 mA analogue output and 3
relays board),
▪
17 main board with a digital RS485 output and a 4-20 mA analogue output, 3
relays board and Hart board).
SMART S-SS
gas detectors have an 8-digit display (LED or LCD). 5 status LEDs allow a non-
intrusive calibration, thanks to Hall-effect magnets the technician can set the equipment
without open it.
SMART S-SS can have different enclosures:
