5.2.5 Hardware
Reset
The on board RESET push-button SW2 forces a reset on the XE1401, XE3006 and the radio board. Pushing this
button does not reset the interface block to the PC i.e. to reset the USB controller, the board must be switched
“ON” and “OFF”.
Note!
The RESET command for the CODEC (XE3006) and Skyworks radio interface is low active at 0V and uses a
1.8V as inactive high level. The reset command for the XE1401, the extension application board and Silicon Wave
radio interface is low active at 0V and uses a 3V as inactive high level.
5.2.6
Radio Modules Connectors
The XE1401 baseband controller (U1) is able to interface to two different radio types: Skyworks and Silicon Wave.
The included radio board is based on the Skyworks radio chip CX72303.
Note!
If a Skyworks/Conexant radio module is plugged in JP3 the switch SW3 must be set in position “Cx”. If a
Silicon Wave radio module is plugged in JP4, the switch SW3 must be set in position “SiW”.
