Operation
■
Plug in the freezer to a power source so that the “Power” indicator light turns on;
the “Run” indicator light turns on when the compressor is running; the “ALARM”
indicator light turns on when the internal temperature is too high.
■
The temperature of the freezer can be adjusted with the thermostat button. The
figures 1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6 do not indicate specific temperatures. The lower the
figure, the higher the internal temperature, and vice versa.
Switching off
■
To switch off the appliance, turn the thermostat to the
OFF
position.
Regulating the temperature
■
The temperature regulates itself automatically. To operate the appliance, follow
these instructions:
– turn the thermostat button to
1
for less cold;
– turn the thermostat button to
6
for more cold;
■
In general, setting the thermostat to
1
will provide a suitable temperature.
However, you must bear in mind that the temperature inside the appliance
depends on several factors:
– the room temperature
– how often the door is opened
– the volume of food stored
– the location of the appliance
■
Recommended setting: between 4 and 5.
The appliance is likely to stop working as normal if it has been operating
for a long time at a temperature lower than the minimum temperature
within the range for which the appliance is designed.
Indicator lights
■
The green light indicates that the freezer is running.
■
The red light indicates that the temperature inside the freezer is below
18
°C
and that the freezing performance can be altered. In such a case, check that
the thermostat is set correctly and turn it to a higher position. If the problem
continues, contact your after-sales service.
Freezing fresh food
■
The freezer is suitable for freezing fresh foodstuffs and conserving frozen food for
a long time.
■
The freezing process takes
24
hours: you should not add any other foodstuff to be
frozen during this period.
Storing frozen food
When starting up the appliance or after a prolonged shutdown, set the thermostat
to the
6
position for around
2
hours before putting products into the compartment.
