20 Description of diagnostic indications
8) DESCRIPTION OF DIAGNOSTIC INDICATIONS
For the meaning and use of the various controls, please refer to the respective user manuals; only the diagnostic indications are
described in this section.
The Genesis 90 automatically compensates for the variations in power supply voltage, i.e. variations of ±15% with respect to the
rated power supply voltage do not produce significant variations in the cutting current.
8.1) External diagnostic indications
The microprocessor on the mainboard controls the status of the equipment and communicates it to the operator via the leds and
the display on the panel.
Power supply led (GREEN)
Indicates the machine on status. Always on if the panel, and therefore the machine, is correctly powered.
Torch cap missing LED (GREEN)
It indicates that the torch end tip is missing. Always off when the torch is working and connected to the generator correctly. When
the metal tip is fitted to the torch correctly, it closes the low voltage protection circuit (see wires No. 51 and 52 on the electrical
diagram in section 6.1 above).
No air LED (GREEN)
It indicates the air flow to the generator is either non-existent or poor. Always off if air pressure is correct. In order to avoid this error
during repairs or tests (i.e. when you simply wish to check whether the generator delivers no-load tension or to carry out static load
tests), set DIP-SWITCH No. 3 ON on the front panel board ( see also section 10.9 below).
Thermal led + protections (YELLOW)
Indicates an alarm status of the equipment. Only on if there is a problem.
The type of alarm is indicated by means of a code on the D2 display (see below).
