6 CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
DANGER!
•
Before cleaning, the device must be disconnected from the
power supply.
•
Allow the device and all its components to cool down for at
least 30 minutes.
•
Never immerse the device into water or other liquids.
•
Do not place the device in the dish washer.
•
Do not clean the device with a steam cleaner. Moisture may
enter the housing interior.
SHORT-CIRCUIT HAZARD!
Detergents
•
Use only detergents which are food suitable to clean the parts that are in connection with
water and coff ee
•
Do not use harsh, aggressive and corrosive detergents
•
Do not use alcohol or other solvents
•
Do not use abrasives
•
Do not use essential oils
These instructions apply for all surfaces of your device.
The surface of the product can be damaged by using such detergents.
Cleaning after brewing coff ee
1. Make sure the brewing process is completed and the device has cooled down.
2.
Open the swing fi lter (3) by pulling it out with the handle.
3.
Take out the used paper fi lter from the swing fi lter (3) and dispose it.
4.
Close the swing fi lter (3) until it snaps into place.
Daily cleaning
1. Make sure the brewing process is completed and the device has cooled down.
2.
Open the swing fi lter (3) by pulling it out with the handle.
3.
Take out the used paper fi lter from the swing fi lter (3) and dispose it.
4.
Wipe out the swing fi lter (3) with warm water, if necessary with a mild detergent.
5.
Empty the coff ee pot (5).
6.
Clean the coff ee pot (5) in warm water with a mild detergent. The coff ee pot (5) is
dishwasher safe.
7. Clean the hot plate (6) with a damp cloth.
8. Dry all parts thoroughly before inserting into the device.
