Occupying uplink during an ongoing group
call
During a group call, the screen prompts you to
Press the PTT key if the right to speak is
available. In this case, you can hold the
PTT key to gain the right to speak.
If you successfully gain the right to speak,
the handheld prompts you to speak. In
this case, you can address the group.
If you release the PTT key, you will
resume listening only, and the previous
listeners will be indicated by a Roger
beep. If no prompt for speaking is
displayed on the screen, you can only
listen to the group call.
Note:
You cannot occupy the uplink of an
ongoing broadcast call.
