GETTING STARTED

A SIM card is not required as the KarL4 is fitted with a SIM chip.

When using the
“
age verification
”
function, insert the dealer card (SIM socket with white
border).
LED modem status (green)

Connect NFC antenna

Connect mobile antenna

Connect contact unit
▪
Connect controller (MDB)
▪
Switch on vending machine
▪
Mobile connection is established if it beeps twice after switching on and the green
modem status modem status LED is on longer than it is off.
▪
Start telemetry via the KarL4 service menu. This will assign a terminal ID to the unit, load
an EMC configuration, and update it if necessary.
