NOTE:
In this step you will build the power cord for your SeaPerch ROV, as shown in
Figure 3.3-1. A wiring diagram of the power cord is show in Figure 3.3-2.
Construction Steps:
1.
Cut the #22 red and black
wires into three equal-length
pieces (three black and three
red). If any of your pieces will
be less than 5
” (13 cm), ask
your teacher for extra
wire.
2.
Strip just
¼” (6 mm) of
insulation from one end
of each piece of wire
and about
½” (13 mm) from
their other ends. Twist the
inner wires (strands) on both
ends of each wire to prevent
fraying or breaking.
