Section 3: COOLING INSTALLATION
5)
Elevate reservoir ABOVE the top of the gyro OR
the Motor Drive J-Box, whichever is higher.
6)
Open glycol spigot on reservoir. For Seakeeper
reservoir, open position is with valve at 90° as
shown below.
7)
Switch on 230 VAC and 24 VDC circuit breakers in the boat’s breaker panel.
8)
Connect J2 Cable at J2 connector on Gyro Control J-Box (see Figure 3) to start pump. Do not run
pump more than 5 seconds if glycol flow has not started.
9)
If pump fails to prime after 2 attempts, move glycol return tube from reservoir to bucket below
gyro and allow circuit to gravity fill. Restart pump but do not run more than 5 seconds if glycol is
not flowing from reservoir. Once pump has primed, stop and restore return tube to reservoir.
10)
Restart pump and allow fluid to recirculate to reservoir for 1 minute.
11)
Turn recirculation
valve CCW to open
then CW to close
again. This can
cause a pressure
change and
discharge of
bubbles into
return hose to
reservoir. Repeat
until bubbles are
no longer seen.
