USB-C
USB is a serial input/output technology for connecting peripheral devices to a computer. USB-C is the latest
implementation of this standard and it provides higher bandwidth and new power management features.
Transfer rates can attain up to 5Gb/s as opposed to USB 2.0's 480Mb/s. This means USB-C is theoretically up
to ten times faster than its predecessor.
Make certain to use the USB-C cable included with your Innov8. Due to poor construction, many third-party
USB-C cables can cause irreparable harm to devices such as your computer and Innov8. Seagate is not
responsible for damage to your Innov8 caused by third-party cables.
