DISTRESS CALL
CLASS A distress calls require the least amount
of work to create. This reinforces the concept of
keeping GMDSS distress alerting simple.
Press
and select
the most suitable nature of the distress.
If the position data is not valid or is not
available, the operator is prompted to input the
position manually.
After the position has been entered, either
automatically or manually, press
to
transmit the call.
The radio will switch to the programmed default
DSC channel and transmit the call.
