DSC OPERATIONS

REVIEWING THE DSC CALL LOGS

Press the 

 key followed by 

      to review the call logs.

Press 

  to review distress calls or 

to review all other calls.  The last 40 calls in each
category are stored.

It is possible to respond to the displayed entry by
pressing the 

     key.

The messages are displayed with information
particular to the format type of the message.

Each line of a GEOAREA, INDIVIDUAL, GROUP, ALL
SHIPS and UNKNOWN message have the following
information displayed:

Line 1 Message number and category
Line 2 Received from MMSI number
Line 3 UTC Time / Date (when call received)
Line 4 Channel / Frequencies / Position
Line 5 ERRORS / Status (ACK, NOACK)
Line 6 TC1 (telecommand 1)
Line 7 TC2 (telecommand 2)

Each line of a PHONE CALL message contains:

Line 1 Message number and phone number
Line 2 Received from MMSI number
Line 3 UTC Time / Date (when call received)
Line 4 Call duration / Channel / Frequencies / Position
Line 5 ERRORS / Status (ACK, NOACK)
Line 6 TC1 (telecommand 1)
Line 7 TC2 (telecommand 2)

Each line of a DISTRESS CALL / RELAY or ACK has:

Line 1 Message number and Distress Call / ACK / Relay
Line 2 MMSI number of ship in distress
Line 3 UTC Time of position fix / Date when received
Line 4 Position
Line 5 Nature of Distress
Line 6 ACK BY PHONE CHAN 16 / Format By MMSI ID
