2.5 FORCED VITAL CAPACITY «FVC»
TEST PROCEDURE
The procedures to be completed to carry out the Forced
Vital Capacity «FVC», slow Vital Capacity «VC» and
Maximum Voluntary Ventilation «MVV» tests are very
similar. Therefore, only one detailed description will be
given in this section.
ENTERING PATIENT PARAMETERS
Turn on ASTRA300 spirometer using the key,
wait for the Main Screen to appear and press
One of the following screens will appear, depending on
the mode selected (numeric or alphanumeric):
The meaning of each field is as follows:
ID: A 10-character numeric or alphanumeric patient
identifier, depending on the customized option chosen.
Tech: (Technician): 10-character numeric field
corresponding to the ID code of the technician carrying
out the test.
