
Float Springs
Once the cutting height has been set with the depth wheels, set the float
springs to the central position. Use the rear lift on the tractor to raise or
lower the units and set the tractor to ‘position control’. Make sure that the
topper is parallel to the ground by adjusting the top link to suit.
Ridge Press rollers (optional)
The pressure of the Ridge Press rollers needs setting prior to commencing
work. To do this, use a 24mm socket the turn the nut on top of the spring
assembly. Increasing the amount of thread protruding from the assembly
increases the pressure, decreasing the length of thread in turn decreases
pressure.
Sprayer Unit (optional)
If the optional spray system is fitted, for a ‘Flail & Spray’ operation, the
cutting height should be set to leave approximately 150mm of stem. The
chemical application rate will be recommended by your Agronomist or
indicated on the chemical bottle
