POWER SUPPLY

 

 

Using the AC power supply

 

Insert the AC power cord into the AC mains outlet with a 230V AC ~ 50Hz power source and 
insert the other end into the 

AC ~

 socket at the back of the unit.  

 

Using batteries

 

1.  Open the battery compartment door. 
2.  Insert 6 UM2/ “C” size batteries (not supplied) with the polarities (+/-) matching  the markings 

in the battery compartment. Reversed batteries may damage the unit. 

3.  Close the battery compartment door. 

Note: When AC power is supplied, the battery power is cut off automatically.

 

 

Precautions when using batteries

 

1.  Use only the size and type of batteries specified. 
2.  Do not mix different types of batteries together (e.g. alkaline, rechargeable and standard 

(carbon zinc)) or old batteries with fresh ones. 

3.  Exhausted batteries must be removed to prevent any battery leakage. 
4.  Dispose of batteries properly according to environmental regulations. 
 

BASIC OPERATION

 

 

ON/ Standby mode 

After connecting the power supply (refer to “

POWER SUPPLY

”), the unit goes to standby mode. Press 

the ON/STANDBY 

 button to turn on the unit and press it again to go to standby mode.

 

 

Selecting the source 

When the unit is switched on, press the 

MODE 

button repeatedly to select one of the following 

sources: CD, TUNER, CSE “

” (cassette)

 

or AUX.

 

If both a CD and a USB device are 

inserted, first go into CD mode and then press the 

CD/USB

 button to select CD or USB. 

 

VOLUME control

 

 

Turn the 

VOLUME 

dial to adjust the volume level. 

 

Connecting headphones 

Plug in headphones (not supplied) to the headphones jack at the back of the unit for private 
listening. The speaker output will be shut off automatically. 
 

XBASS function

 

Press
