Failure to do so could result in death or injury.

Plug-in the Power and USB Communications Module

Connect the device by sliding the connector Shoe into the device’s pad.The
device’s LCD backlighting illuminates briefly and the battery charge indication
icon begins to blink. The LCD indicates BATTERY CHARGED on the display
when the battery is fully charged.

Charging the Battery
If a battery voltage becomes very low, the backlight illuminates when plugged into the
charger, however, the battery charging icon may not appear right away.
A fully discharged battery can lead to loss of the device’s DATE and TIME settings
causing erroneous logging of gas events. If DATE and TIME are lost, See
“Configuring the Scott Gas Monitor Software” on page 23.
