SECTION VI
SERVICE DIAGNOSIS
The Service Diagnosis Section is for use in aiding
the servicemen in diagnosing a particular problem
for pin-pointing the area in which the problems
lines, thus an ever available reference for proper
corrective action.
The following chart lists corrective actions for the
causes of known symptoms of certain problems
that can occur in the ice makingrefrigerarion
system.

Red Light glows-
Intermittent water supply
Water shut-off valve closed.
Lo-water pressure.
or too low water pressure.
Check and clean water strainer.
The unit does not make ice.
Fiber key in gear reducer
Remove Gear box
bore broken.
and change fiber key.
V-belt loose or broken.
Check. Repair or replace.
The compressor runs but no

Check and replace.

Pulley loose on motor shaft.
Repair.
Water not entering reservoir.

Contactor coil-open winding.
Replace contactor.
