BATTERIES
READ ALL WARNINGS ABOUT BATTERY SAFETY.
ONLY ADULTS MAY RECHARGE OR HANDLE BATTERIES.
• The StingRay Electric uses two 12-volt batteries to supply power to a 250-watt motor.
• Recharge batteries after each use. When batteries are fully charged, three lights on the StingRay
Electric Throttle will glow. When batteries are partially drained, two lights will glow. When batteries need
to be recharged, one light will glow.
• Eventually, the batteries will no longer hold a charge. Batteries should last for 12 to 18 months,
depending on use and conditions.
• If batteries have completely discharged or develop a leak, they are not usable. Remove and replace
batteries according to directions on page 18. Dispose of spent batteries properly (see page 18 for
disposal instructions).
• If batteries have leaked,
DO NOT
allow acid to come in contact with eyes or skin. If contact does occur,
call a physician immediately, and flush with cool water for 15 minutes.
• If the StingRay Electric will not be used for a long period of time, disconnect batteries from motor. If left
connected, batteries may discharge completely, and will need to be replaced.
