Disposal, recycling of old devices
Before using the new battery for the first time or if it is
stored for longer than 3 months, it must first be fully
charged and then discharged twice and then charged
again in order to maintain its full capacity.
Step 1: Connect the battery to the charger. The contact
is on the top of the battery.
Step 2: Connect the charger to the mains. The charging
status is indicated by the red LED on the charger.
As soon as the battery is fully charged, the char
-
ger switches to trickle charging. The LED display
changes to green.
Step 3: Disconnect the charger from the mains (do not
leave the charger unnecessarily connected to the
mains) and disconnect the battery.
18.8 Maintenance/Repair
If the welding helmet does not work properly, contact a
specialist dealer or our customer service. You can find
the contact details in section 1.2 Customer service.
19 Disposal, recycling of old devices
In the interest of the environment, care must be taken
that all components of the welding helmet are only dis

posed of in the intended and approved ways.
19.1 Decommission
Disused devices are to be taken out of service immedi
-
ately and professionally in order to avoid later misuse
and endangerment of the environment or to persons.
- Remove batteries and rechargeable batteries, if pres
-
ent.
- If necessary, dismantle the automatic welding helmet
into manageable and usable assemblies and compo
-
nents.
- Take the components to the designated disposal
routes.
19.2 Disposal via municipal collection
points
Disposal of used electrical and electronic equipment
(Applicable in the countries of the European Union and
other European countries with a separate collection sys
-
tem for these appliances).

The symbol on the product or its packaging in

dicates that this product should not be treated as nor

mal household waste, but must be returned to a collec
-
tion point for the recycling of electrical and electronic
equipment. By helping to properly dispose of this prod
-
uct, you are protecting the environment and the health
of others. Environment and health are endangered by
improper disposal. Material recycling helps to reduce
the consumption of raw materials. For more information
about recycling this product, contact your local commu

nity, municipal waste management, or the shop where
you purchased the product.
19.3 Disposal of the new device
packaging
All packaging materials and packaging aids used are re

cyclable and must be basically brought to the material re
-
cycling.
These components must be disposed of separately and
professionally. If in doubt, contact the municipal waste
disposal service.
If necessary, the help of a specialized waste disposal
company should be used for processing.
ATTENTION!
- Repairs and maintenance work may only be carried
out by qualified and trained specialists.
- Use only original spare parts.
