2.3 Ending the operation
1. BAS 1500E:
a. Press the red OFF button [13].
The electric jogging motor [14] is switched
off.
b. Pull the connecting cable (extension cable)
from the power socket and roll it up.
BAS 1500V:
a. Set the lowest speed at the throttle
lever [2].
b. Press the Stop switch [4] on the
combustion jogging motor [7].
The combustion jogging motor is switched
off.
The operation is ended.
2. Clean the machine.
2.3.1 Cleaning the machine
The combustion jogging motor [7] may not be
tipped and must always be transport and stored
in work position.
Do not use compressed air, high‐pressure
cleaners or solvents to clean the machine!
— Clean the machine dry after use with a cloth or
suitable agents.
— BAS 1500V:
Clean the petrol filter and air filter

2.3.2 Storing the machine
The following tasks ought to be
carried out by 2 persons.
1. If the guide bar [1] should remain mounted:
a.
Hold the machine at the guide bar.
b. Loosen the clamping screw [11] (do not
fully unscrew).
c. Swivel the guide bar into vertical position
and tighten the clamping screw.
If the guide bar [1] should be removed:
a.
Hold the machine at the guide bar.
b. Open the securing spring [10], pull out the
cross bolt [9] and remove the guide bar.
c. Insert the cross bolt [9] into the guide bar
and snap the securing spring [10] over the
guide bar (

d. Push the guide bar between the jogging
motor and smoothing blade [17].
2. Fasten all loose parts to the machine.
3. Store the machine in a dry location.
