Risk of injury due to high temperature on motor!
These parts may still be hot after operation.
BAS 1500V:
Additional risk of injury from hot exhaust parts
and hot exhaust air!
2.1 Starting up the machine
Observe the safety instructions in Chapter 1.5!
A visual inspection of the machine needs to be
done before starting up the machine.
Particular attention should be paid to damaged
or loose components, and wear.
BAS 1500E:
Check the power plug, the connecting cable and
possibly the extension cable for functional
safety.
BAS 1500V:
Suffocation and poisoning hazard from toxic ex
hausts!
Machines with combustion engines may not be
operated in closed rooms or in ground depres
sions without sufficient supply of fresh air.
Check fuel levels of petrol and oil and refill if
necessary

Plug on the guide bar [1], insert the cross
bolt [9] and snap the securing spring [10] over
the guide bar (

illustration).
2.
Loosen the clamping screw [11] (do not fully
unscrew).
The following task Pos. 3. ought
to be carried out by 2 persons.

Swivel the guide bar into work position (at about
hip height) and tighten the clamping screw.
The machine is ready for operation.
2.2 Levelling/Compacting cement
The operator must always be able to control and
steer the machine!
The guide bar [1] may not be released during
operation.

1.
Transport the machine to its installation site.
2.
BAS 1500E:
a.
Connect the connecting cable (extension
cable) with a proper power socket.
b.
Hold the machine at the guide bar [1].
c.
Press the green ON button [12].
The electric jogging motor [14] is switched
on.
BAS 1500V:
The combustion jogging motor [7] may not be
tipped and must always be transport and stored
in work position.
a.
Hold the machine at the guide bar [1].
b.
Start the drive motor

Set the desired speed at the throttle
lever [2].
For fluid cement: low speed.
For firmer cement: higher speed.
3.
Place the smoothing blade [8] on the edge of
the cement surface.
To avoid ripples in the cement, the smoothing
blade needs to be swept across the cement at
moderate speed.
The guide bar always needs to be held in such a
way that it presses the bottom side of the
smoothing blade down fully flat.
4.
Pull the machine across the cement in straight
tracks at a steady speed (

Do not draw curves!
5.
Lift the smoothing blade up at the end of each
track and transfer.
