Start-up
6. Starting up (Schlüter
®
-BEKOTEC-THERM-RTBR/-RTB)
6.1 Filling, venting and pressure testing
1.
Fill up the heating system.
2.
Vent the heating system (e.g. at the valve of BEKOTEC-THERM-RTBR/-RTB).
3.
Perform a leakage test according to DIN EN 1264.
WARNING
Fluid leaks can cause electric shock
Water in electrical components can result in a short circuit.
Check that wires are properly connected.
Perform a water tightness test according to BS EN 1264.
6.2 Set up and start up
The use of BEKOTEC-THERM-RTBR/-RTB in conjunction with the Schlüter-BEKOTEC-THERM ceramic thermal comfort floor means that system cure
heating can begin as early as 7 days after completing the floor covering. The instructions in the corresponding product data sheet for Schlüter-BEKOTEC
(product data sheet 9.1, 9.2, 9.4, or 9.5, www.bekotec-therm.com)
must be observed.
Start with a supply temperature of 20 °C and increase it by 5 °C a day to a maximum supply temperature of 35 °C. Close the return temperature limit
valves with protective caps to ensure that no heating can take place during the installation of the screed and surface covering.
If using BEKOTEC-THERM-RTBR /-RTB with conventional warm water floor heating systems, the applicable regulations for interface coordination and the
specifications of DIN EN 1264-4 must be observed!
The tables below show the temperature settings at the thermostat heads of BEKOTEC-THERM-RTB and -RTBR.
