Ensure that the flat roof waterproofing is c ompatible with the mounting sy ste m . T h e roof
drainage sy stem has to be included in the planning of your solar plant.

In the case of very uneven roofs or roof waterproofing, c ompensatory measure s m ay have to be taken in
order to ensure a uniform introduction of the load.

N e cessary distance s to roof e d g e s have to be maintained.
T h e maximum field size depends on the type of roof.
For foil roofs, it is max. 10 m ; for c oncrete roofs, it can also be larger in individual cases.

In the case of roofs with substrate or gravel roofing, it has to be ensured that a sufficiently non-slip
c onnection o ccurs.

Please check the existing pitch of the roof and whether the mounting sy stem has to be secured against
slipping.

T h e surface load is not permitted to exc eed the residual load-bearing capacity of the building!

T h e partial surface pressure, which acts on the roof m e m brane and insulation under the base rails, is not
allowed under any circumstance s to exc eed the maximum permissible surface pressure.
Current c ountry-specific rules and regulations have to be observed.
Roof cleaning! In order to ensure that the base rails are supported acro s s their entire surface, impurities
such as m o s s , leaves, dirt, stones, etc . have to be re m oved.

If there is a lightning protection sy stem involved, it is important to determine the extent to which
integration by a c ertified lightning protection co mpany is necessary. W h ether or not the lightning
protection requirements change as a result of the installation also has to be determined.

D u e to static reasons, the installation of a single module row is not permitted!

P rior to installation, the roof has to be checked for damage of any kind, particularly water beading
or damage to the roof m em b rane. These should be documented with photo s in order to be able to
c ounteract any re course claims. T h e sy stem has been developed for modules with a width of 950-1050
m m (standard module dimensions according to the current status). Other module dimensions on request
and separate verification. Information about module clamping pursuant to the manufacturer has to be
observed.

T h e FixGrid18 mounting sy stem is fixed to the roof purely with ballast (exc ept special cases). A detailed
ballast calculation can be found in the project-related planning documents. T h e ballasting is calculated
in such a way that sliding, tilting and lifting of the rack is avoided.

Use only original Schletter c omponents!

N o modifications to the modules are required to secure them. It is the

client’s/installer’s

responsibility  to ensure  the clamp  location  is in  accordance with the  panel  installation
manual.

All other markings, information on the number of modules and
additional information can be found in the project-specific
documents.
