CTE has three (3) relay outputs, lock, auxiliary, and alarm. They are
Form C type relay outputs each has normally open NO, common C and
normally closed NC contacts.
CTE also has three switched power outputs, lock, auxiliary and alarm.
Alarm relay is triggered on forced or propped door with DPS and REX
installed. The switched power outputs are 24V or 12V depending on
the voltage provided to the CTE. The switched power outputs are also
provided in both NO (normally OFF) and NC (normally ON).
With 24V line input the switch outputs are +24s volt DC. For all others
power inputs, +12 Volt, POE and POE+ the outputs are sw12
volts DC.
For each output the CTE has a “TEST” button. Push and hold in the
push button will switch the output for as long has the button is held. The
test button is helpful as a wire hook up confirmation tool.
The status of each output is indicated with an active/inactive amber
LED.
L
The CTE outputs are overcurrent fault protected. The outputs
share a RED FAULT LED, when ON the RED LED indicates there
is an over current fault on one of the outputs. When the fault
removed the output will return to correct operation.
L
Relay output wiring must use a dedicated shielded cable to
prevent transient contamination of other CTE signal wiring.
Do not run relay output wires in the same cable or conduit
as any other CTE wiring. Connect the shield of the relay
output cables to the appropriate earth ground terminal of the
electrified lock/load or auxiliary load power supply. The shield
should NOT be connected at the CTE.
CTE Outputs: LOCK, ALARM, and AUX.
