Overview
The Schlage CTE can be an offline standalone access controller in
the ENGAGE™ product line and an IP Gateway LINKED software
managed door controller.
• The CTE is intended for use on one (1) single opening.
• The CTE has one RS-485 reader interface, supporting MTB11,
MTB15, MT11-485 or MT15-485 readers.
Wiegand readers are
not supported.
• The CTE and MTB/MT-485 reader supports No Tour ENGAGE
access control.
• The CTE can directly power MTB/MT-485 reader.
• Externally powered using a UL294 power supply for UL
installations and a ULCS318/ULCS319 listed Class 2 power
supply for CUL installations (not included) capable of sourcing at
least 500mA@12 or 24VDC (example: Schlage models PS902,
PS904, and PS906). CTE can be powered by POE, +24 Volt DC
or +12 Volt DC power supplies.
• To be used with a UL listed UL294 or UL60950 POE/POE+ power
source. When unit is powered via POE/POE+ source the POE
device and power supply connecting to the unit is required to be a
UL 294, UL 294B, or UL603 power supply for UL compliance and
an ULCS318 or ULCS319 power supply for CUL compliance.
• Capable of storing credentials for up to 5000 users.
• Maintains an audit trail of up to 2000 events.
• Intended for indoor use only.

The CTE is commissioned and configured using the ENGAGE
mobile application: See Allegion ENGAGE web and mobile
applications for more information.
• Any installation involving an opening which is considered an
emergency exit or a fire rated opening must conform to all local
and national safety and building codes. The CTE shall be installed
in accordance to ANSI/NFPA 70 - National Electrical Code and
Canadian Electrical Code, Part 1.
• Access equipment manufactured and/or sold by Allegion is not
rated for, or intended for use in life safety installations. UL listed
panic hardware must be used to allow emergency exit from the
protected area.
• Before installing the CTE controller, read all documentation for all
products in the installation.
This product is compliant of UL294 and ULCS319 standard. This
product’s compliance would be invalidated through the use of any
add-on, expansion, memory or other module that has not yet been
evaluated for compatibility for use with this UL Listed product, in
accordance with the requirements of the Standards UL294 and
ULCS319. This product has been evaluated for ULC-S319 Class I.
The following performance levels are applicable to the product for
UL294 Access Control Line Security = Level I, Destructive Attack =
Level I, Endurance = Level IV, Standby = Level I.
