DEVICE ADDRESSING EXCEPTIONS
The diagrams below show examples of numbering schemes with exceptions (skip/omit, overlap, duplicate). Some
are invalid and will cause communication problems.
•
It is VALID to skip/omit a number when setting Wireless Reader ID’s (Example A).
•
It is INVALID duplicate or overlap numbers in the 485 multi-drop (Example B)

CAUTION
: If you need to correct a duplicate, overlapped or incorrectly numbered a reader, you may
need to re-link some or all the readers on the network.
