Setting the temperature

The  temperature  can  be
adjusted  by  turning  the
button  at  the  top  of  the
cabinet  with  a  coin  or
something  similar.

“4”

for  colder  and

“1”  for

warmer.  The  factory  rec-
ommended  setting  is
“2.5”  under  normal  op-
erating conditions.

In Use

1. The appliance might not operate consistently (possibility

of defrosting of contents or temperature becoming too warm

in the frozen food compartment) when sited for an extended

period of time below the cold end of the range of

temperatures for which the refrigerating appliance is

designed

2. The fact that the internal temperatures could be affected

by such factors as the location of the refrigerating appliance,

ambient temperature and the frequency of door opening,

and, if appropriate, a warning that the setting of any

temperature control device might have to be varied to allow

for these factors

3. The fact that effervescent drinks should not be stored in

food freezer compartments or cabinets or in low-temperature

compartments or cabinets, and that some products such as

water ices should not be consumed too cold

4.The need to not exceed the storage time(s) recommended

by the food manufacturers for any kind of food

5. The fact that a rise in temperature of the frozen food

during manual defrosting, maintenance or cleaning could

shorten the storage life

6. It is better wrapping the frozen food in several layers of

the glass shelves.

7. the care required with regard to frozen food in storage in

the event of an extended non-running of the refrigerating

appliance (interruption of power supply or failure of the
refrigerating system)

General maintenance

Remove the plug from the socket before carrying out any
main-tenance.

Do not pull the cord to disconnect. Grasp the plug firmly to
pull it out.

Cleaning the appliance

To ensure better hygiene and safe storage of foods, it is
advisable to clean and disinfect the product regularly.

- Drain the appliance and place the contents in thermal bags

or newspapers, and then place them in a cool place.

- Clean the product inside and out with baking soda dissolved

in water (1 tablespoon to 4 litres of water).

- Do not use alcohol, scouring powder or detergents, as these

can damage the surfaces.

- Do not use steam pressure cleaners.

The fire-hot steam can damage the surfaces and the electri-
cal circuits. There is a direct risk of fatal electric shock.

Changing the bulb (depending on the model)

Pull the plug out of the socket.

Change the bulb as follows:

- Remove the protective grille using a pointed tool (a screw-

driver or a knife) by loosening it at the pin.

- The bulb can be seen. Remove the bulb and replace it with

a new one. Then put the protective grille back by repeating
the same procedure in reverse order.

Normal operation sounds

For the temperature of the product to remain constant, the mo-

tor operates at regular intervals. The sounds it causes are quite
normal  operation  sounds,  and  they  will  automatically  become
shorter as soon as the product reaches the desired temperature.
It will make the following sounds:

Nuisances or minor defects

Defects may arise when using the product. Before contacting the
service  centre,  please  check  first  whether  you  can  resolve  the
issue by using the following instructions:

Humming

This comes from the engine. This humming may at times become
stronger, i.e. when the engine starts.

Gurgling sounds or low humming

This is caused by the coolant circulating around the appliance.

Clicking

A faint clicking sound can always be heard when the electronic
card starts or stops the engine.

Low background noise

If  the  appliance  has  a  fan  (depending  on  the  model),  the  air
circulating inside the product may create a low background noise.

Trouble-shooting

When  calling,  please  give  the  product’s  full  reference  details
(model, type, serial number).

These numbers are given on the name plate affixed to the prod-
uct. The location of the plate may vary, depending on model.

-

Rinse with clean water and dry with a cloth.

-

Remember to clean the condenser at the back of the

product from time to time. Use a dry brush, or preferably

a vacuum cleaner.

-

Plug in the appliance again and readjust the

temperature if necessary, as directed in the section

“Setting the tempera-ture”.

-

Wait three quarters of an hour before putting food back

into the appliance.
