The S20 Smartphone is a radio transmitter and receiver. It has been designed and
manufactured to not exceed recommended international guidelines on limits for
exposure to radio frequency (RF) energy.
These recommended limits are part of comprehensive guidelines from the
International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection to establish
permitted RF energy levels for the protection of the general population and
incorporates sufficient safety margins to ensure the safety of all, regardless of age
and health conditions.
Specific Absorption Rate (SAR) is the accepted unit of the measure for exposure
standards on mobile phones, and the limit stated in the international guideline is
2.0W/kg averaged over 10g and 1.6W/kg averaged over 1g of tissue.
The highest tested SAR value for this model (S20) is 0.335W/kg over 10g and
0.532W/kg over 1g of tissue.
Additional information on SAR is available at www.who.int/peh-emf.
The S20 Smartphone complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules. Operation is
subject to the following two conditions: (1) this device may not cause harmful
interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received, including
interference that may cause undesired operation. Changes or modifications not
expressly approved by the party responsible for compliance could void the user's
authority to operate the equipment.
For body worn operation, this phone has been tested and meets FCC RF exposure
guidelines when used with an accessory that contains no metal and that positions
the handset a minimum of 1.5 cm from the body. Use of other accessories may
not ensure compliance with FCC RF exposure guidelines.
