7 MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS
Before each use
■
Carry out a visual check of the precision sine tables with electro permanent magnetic chuck/electromagnetic
chuck.
■
Check the cleanliness of the pole plate, measuring bolt, gauge block supports and sine table bearing.
■
Carry out a visual check of the electrical connection with cable, junction box and any connectors.
At regular intervals
■
Finely dress the pole plate depending on wear. Observe the maximum machining thickness of the pole plate as
per section 3 “Technical specifications”.
■
Check the pole plate as to whether the fastening threads for the pole plate have been exposed after continued
machining.
■
Check the underside of the magnet for contact corrosion.
■
Lubricate the sine table bearing with grease.
■
If a lifting mechanism is fitted, ensure to lubricate this.
