Operating instructions
SATAjet K 1800 spray mix
Adjust the material supply and air input pressure
The material is atomised with the airless principle. The material arrives at
the nozzle under high pressure and is atomised when it exits the nozzle;
the spray pattern is formed by the geometry of the material nozzle.
Note!
If the material pressure necessary to form the spray fan pattern is not
reached, this must be increased at the high-pressure pump.
Note!
To benefit from the advantages of the airless principle and thus minimise
paint mist, adjust the input pressure to the necessary minimum setting.
■
Adjust necessary material pressure at the high-pressure pump
(e.g. 50 bar – 60 bar).
■ Adjust the required air input pressure (0.5 bar – 3 bar) with actuated
trigger guard.
■ Check the spray pattern (e.g. on paper) and possibly change the mate
-
rial or air input pressure to obtain the optimum adjustment.
Adjust spray fan pattern
The material nozzle geometry defines the spray height and the spraying
angle. The spray fan pattern can be adjusted by adding compressed air at
the air cap.
■
A round fan pattern can be adjusted by rotating the fully variable round
and flat fan control
[4-1]
to the left.
■
Reduce the material and air pressure to avoid tears in the paint when
adjusting the round fan pattern.
Start spraying process
■
Ensure there is air feed and material supply.
■
Stand at the stated spraying distance.
■
Push the trigger lock
[5-1]
down into the middle position.
■
Pull the trigger guard right back [
6-1]
and hold the spray gun at 90° to
the surface being sprayed
[6-2]
.
■ Adjust material flow and spray pattern if required.
End the spraying process
■
Disconnect and depressurise the material supply.
■
Disconnect the compressed air supply.
■
Vent the spray gun by actuating the trigger guard and
