Press button (12) (the yellow button lights up) and wait until the green lamp also lights up. This
means that the steam now has a temperature of approx. 125°C and you can froth the milk. If you do
not press button (12), you can still release steam using the steam control button (9), but it now only
has a temperature of approx. 105°C.
▪
Hold the jug with milk under the steam nozzle so that the nozzle is just above the surface of the
milk.
▪
Carefully open the steam control button (9) (turn the button up to the left). The steam nozzle opens.
(CAREFUL, RISK OF SCALDING!!!)
▪
After frothing the milk, spoon it onto the cup with the cappuccio.
▪
The cappuccino is now ready, add sugar to taste and scatter a little chocolate powder on top if you
like.
▪
After heating the milk, turn the steam control button (9) open even further to remove milk residues
from the steam pipe (9).
▪
Clean the steam pipe (8) thoroughly immediately after use, because encrusted milk is much harder
to remove later on.
Cleaning and Care
▪
Every time before you clean or service the machine, switch the machine off, disconnect it from the
mains and leave it to cool down.
▪
Do not use any solvents, detergents or scouring agents to clean the machine, but only wipe it down
with a soft, damp cloth.
▪
Just like all electric appliances, the machine must not be allowed to get wet or immersed in liquid.
▪
The machine and its accessories must not be put in the dishwasher.
Steam nozzle
Clean the steam nozzle and steam pipe as described in "Using for the first time".
Drip grid and drip pan
The drip grid and drip pan can be removed from the machine for cleaning. Clean them with commercially
available detergent and warm water (not in the dishwasher).
Accessories
Clean the filter holder and filter inserts with a commercially available detergent and warm water (not in the
dishwasher).
Descaling
If you live in an area with very hard water, after a while, minerals and limescale will settle in the pipe system
of the machine. Limescale deposits can impair correct functioning of the machine. The machine should be
descaled with vinegar every 6 months depending on the hardness of your water.
Please proceed as follows:
▪
Before descaling, switch the machine off and disconnect it from the mains.
▪
Fill 0.5 l vinegar into the water tank.
▪
Put the water tank into the machine.
▪
Put the filter holder into the machine, with inserted filter and without coffee powder.
▪
Put a bowl on the drip grid.
▪
Connect the machine up to the mains.
▪
Switch the machine on and press the espresso button (13) at the same time. After a few minutes, the
hot vinegar starts to run through the filter holder into the bowl.
