Important: Be sure that you do not over-fill the filter with too much coffee, and wipe around the
edge of the filter to remove any coffee grinds.
8.
Place the filter handle on the machine’s brewing head. Slide the filter lock (towards the arrow on the
handle) carefully and position the handle so that it points to the left. Place the filter handle flat against the
brewing head so it is aligned with the matching slots and then turn the handle towards the right as far as it
can go.
Note: Do not over tighten.
9.
Place 1 or 2 preheated cups below each of the holes in the filter holder.
10.
Press the COFFEE/ WATER button only when the green indicator is on. You will hear the machine
making a pumping noise, this is normal.
11.
The coffee will pour into the cup and once the cup/s is/are filled to the desired level, press the
COFFEE/WATER button again.
12.
The green indicator will go off. To make the next espresso, wait until the green indicator is on again.
13.
Remove the filter handle and filter by turning the filter handle to the left.
14.
To remove the used coffee grinds from the filter, turn the filter handle upside down in a bin and gently
tap out the coffee.
Note:
Do not leave the filter handle locked in position for extended periods, or when the machine is not in
use. This shortens the life of the brew rubber seal.
To make more coffee, refill the water reservoir. Empty the filter with the help of the filter holder, and
proceed as above.
MAKING CAPPUCCINO
Cappuccino coffee is an espresso coffee topped with steamed milk and milk froth (1/3 espresso, 1/3 steamed
milk and 1/3 frothed milk).
Note:
We recommend that you make the espresso first, and then steam the milk.
1.
Follow the directions for making espresso coffee.
2.
Press the STEAM button, the green indicator gets off and the yellow indicator is on. After a while, the
green indicator is on, which indicates that the coffee machine is ready to release steam.
3.
Pour about 100ml cold milk into a stainless steel jug.
Note:
For best results we recommend to use refrigerated milk and stainless steel jug that is well chilled.
4.
Before inserting the steam nozzle into the milk, turn the steam knob anti-clockwise to activate the steam
function in order to remove any condensed water. To do this, hold an empty glass under the steam nozzle
and turn the steam knob.
5.
Once only steam is coming out, quickly insert the steam nozzle into the milk jug. Lower the jug so that
the tip of the steam nozzle is just below the surface of the milk and place your hand on the side of the
jug.
Important:
Do not allow tip of the nozzle to touch the bottom of the jug because this could obstruct the
passage of the steam.
6.
Move the frothing jug so that the steam nozzle is on one side. This will create a whirlwind motion to the
milk. As the steam heats the milk, the milk will begin to rise. Follow the level of the milk by lowering
the jug and always keeping the tip of the steam nozzle just below the surface.
7.
Cease steaming when the jug becomes too hot to continue holding the palm of your hand against the side.
Simply turn the steam knob clockwise and press the STEAM button again.
