Battery depletion note
If the phone is not going to be
used for an extended length of
time, remove the battery and store
it in a dry place.
You may have to recharge the
battery if it has not been used for
a long period of time.
When the battery is running out of
power, a warning sign is shown
and a tone may be heard.
Leaving the battery in hot or cold
places, such as in a closed or
open car in the heat of summer or
the cold of winter will reduce the
capacity and life of the battery.
The battery should be stored at a
temperature of between 5°C and
35°C.
Battery capacity
• The longer the length of talk
time, the shorter the standby
time is.
• The above talk and standby
times are the average times to
be expected under ideal
receiving conditions. Total
operating time depends on
charge condition, temperature,
signal strength and function
settings.
• If the phone is out of the
coverage area for a long period
of time, even in Standby mode,
operating time becomes shorter.
• If you leave the phone without
finishing operations such as PIN
(PUK) entry (see p. XX), the
Standby time may become
shorter.
Health warning
• If the battery leaks and the liquid
comes into contact with your
eyes, do not rub them but
immediately wash your eyes
thoroughly with clean water and
then seek immediate medical
attention. Battery liquid can
cause damage to your eyesight.
• If the battery leaks and the liquid
comes into contact with your
skin, immediately wash thor-
oughly with clean water. Battery
liquid can damage your skin.
Accessory and AC adap-
tor safety precautions
Warnings

• Disconnect the AC adaptor or
accessories from the power

• Connect the power plug to only
a 100-240 VAC outlet.
• Do not connect or disconnect
the power cord with wet hands.
• When disconnecting the power
cord of an accessory, grasp and
pull the plug, not the cord.
Cautions
• The temperature near accesso-
ries and AC adaptors should be
between 5°C and 35°C.
