7. Motor Control
Zoom, Focus, Lens Shift Left/Right, Lens Shift Up/Down
The motor drive signals for Zoom, Focus, Lens Shift Left/Right and Lens Shift Up/Down are output from IC4801<I/O
EXPANDER> through the parallel bus lines of IC801<CPU>. IC4801 outputs zoom drive signal from pins 53 and 54,
focus drive signal from pins 50 and 51, lens shift right/left drive signal from pins 14 and 13 and lens shift up/down
drive signal from pins 10 and 11. The FOCUS and ZOOM drive signals are applied to pins 5 and 6 of motor drive ICs
(IC1601, IC1611) through IC5824<BUFFER> and then output from pins 2 and 10 to drive the Focus and Zoom mo-
tors. The SHIFT_L,R and SHIFT_UP/DOWN signals are applied to pins 5 and 6 of motor drive ICs (IC1621, IC1631)as
the signals R_DET, L_DET, UP_DET, DOWN_DET, through the Up/Down and Left/Right limitter switch and then out-
put from pins 2 and 10 to drive the Lens Shift Up/Down and Lens Shift Left/Right motors.
The signals "LENS_V_POS" and "LENS_H_POS", are voltage conversion signal from the H and V position of the pro-
jection lens, are applied to pins 233 and 234 of IC801. IC801 monitors the lens position by these signals. The signals
"ZOOM_POS" and "FOCUS_POS" are applied to pins 45 and 56 of IC4802<I/O EXPANDER>. These signals are for
the optional projection lens which has a lens memory function. IC801 loads the memorized focus position and zoom
position data of the optional lens.
Shutter Motor
The power supply "16V_M" driving a shutter motor is switched at Q2659 by the signal "STR_SW". The signal "STR_
SW" is output from IC801<CPU> with parallel bus lines to IC4802<I/O EXPANDER>. IC4802 outputs signal as "SHUT-
TER_ON" from pin 51.
The shutter control signals output from IC801 are output from pins 18 and 19 of IC5826 <DAC> as signal "STR1_SW"
and "STR2_SW" after DC converting at IC5826. The control signal "STR1" and "STR2" are sent to relays RL2651
and RL2652 to control the shutter motors. When the shutter opens or closes completely, the sensor switch becomes
on and then sensor signals "STR1_OP", "STR1_CL", "STR2_OP", "STR2_CL" are sent to pins 46, 47, 48, 49 of
IC4801<I/O EXPANDER> to inform the shutter status to IC801<CPU>.
