SUGGESTED INSTALLATION
Unit could be
•
Suspended from ceiling with suspension rods or chains (not included).
•
Hung on the wall with angle iron
Install collar plates on the unit. Note that both are
distinct.
Attach ducts (metal or flex) to the return side of
the unit above the area where smoke
accumulates to remove smoke as fast as possible.
Attach ducts (metal or flex) to the supply side of
the unit to discharge clean air in the room or over
a door to prevent odors from escaping the room.
It is through recirculation that the odors will be
removed. You may use multiple inlets to pull the
smoke to the unit.
The VOC sensor (Fig 2) should be installed on the ceiling where the smoke tends to accumulate. The
S1000 unit comes with 20ft of wire (Fig3) to link the sensor box to the unit. If 20 ft not long enough,
you can replace it with BX wiring with 3 wires.
Note that when powering up, it will take 3 minutes until the VOC monitor will be ready to act: LED
green and red lights will tell you it works.
IMPORTANT: you may have to calibrate the VOC Monitor: refer to the monitor instructions or call
Sanuvox.
WORKING INSTRUCTION
The VOC sensor analyzes the air every 90 seconds. A 20-foot power cord connects it via a relay to
the device to activate the second oxidizing lamp on demand.
The S300 unit runs continuously, so its regular lamp purifies the air constantly. This dual zone lamp
(UVC / UVV) is sufficient when there is only one or two smokers.
However, when the cigarette smoke increases in the room, the VOC sensor that samples the air at
regular intervals, then triggers the 2nd UVV lamp for periods of 90 seconds. This cycle is repeated if
the sensor detects smoke in the room: it then turns off the 2nd lamp, leaving the 1st lamp to
continue the cleaning cycle.
SIMPLIFIED PROCESS
:
•
Ashes in the “white” smoke will be trapped onto the filter
•
Nicotine molecules will be dried by the UVC rays than trapped in the filters without the tar like
material that coats everything.
•
VOC will be oxidised by the UVV, reducing substantially their olfactory perception.
