10.2 Remote access via LAN and WAN
10.2.1 Via LAN
Preparations:
Please make the following preparations:
1. Start the recorder as usual.
2. Connect the recorder to the network using a LAN cable.
3. Open the main menu at the recorder (see chapter 8.1.6.1):

Enable the box “Obtain IP address automatically”.
The IP address, subnet mask and gateway are automatically assigned.
(If a DHCP server is available; otherwise please enter manually)
You will need the listed IP address for the web access.
If you use DHCP, please enable DHCP in both recorder and router.
Click on „Apply“.
Calling up the recorder:
Once the preparations on the recorder are completed, you can access the recorder via the
web.
1. Open your web browser.
2. Enter the IP address of the recorder into the address field.
Note:
The default HTTP port is 80. If you have changed the HTTP port (e.g. to 82), you
have to add it to the IP address when you enter it into your web browser.
Example: http://192.168.0.25:82
3. If you access the recorder via the web for the first time, an ActiveX plugin will be
downloaded automatically. Please accept the installation.
4. Once the ActiveX plugin has been installed successfully, a login window pops up:
User name:
Your user name for the recorder.
Password:
Your password for the recorder.
