To modify Volume Set attribute values, select an attribute item and click on the attribute
value. After completing the modification, tick on the
Confirm The Operation option and
click on the Submit button to save the changes.
4.3.3.1 Volume Expansion
Volume Capacity (Logical Volume Concatenation Plus Re-stripe)
Use the Expand Raid Set function to expand a Raid Set when a disk is added to your
subsystem. (Refer to Section 4.2.3)
The expanded capacity can be used to enlarge the Volume Set size or create another
Volume Set. Use the Modify Volume Set function to expand the Volume Set capacity. Select
the Volume Set and move the cursor to the
Volume Set Capacity item and enter the
capacity size.
NOTE: Only the last created Volume Set can its capacity be expanded.
Tick on the Confirm The Operation and click on the Submit button to complete the
action. The Volume Set starts to expand.
4.3.4 Volume Set Migration
Migration occurs when a Volume Set migrates from one RAID level to another, a
Volume Set stripe size changes, or when a disk is added to a Raid Set. Migrating
status is displayed in the Volume S e t status area of the RaidSet Hierarchy screen
during migration.
