Follow these steps for each PureWave UPS System enclosure control bay:

Inspect the general interior of the bay and verify the bay is clean. Use a vacuum cleaner
to perform general cleaning, if necessary.

Follow these steps for each PureWave UPS System enclosure transformer bay:

Inspect the transformer air-inlet vents located on the doors of the bay. Clean any debris
or obstructions that can restrict air flow.

Follow these steps for the Power Electronic Switch and switchgear enclosure:

Visually inspect the outside of the enclosure for signs of deterioration or rust.

If yes, clean the rust and paint using the correct paint color for the enclosure.

If deterioration or rust is found but not cleaned and painted, why?

Inspect the enclosure doors. Verify the door seals are intact by closing each door.

Inspect the cooling air inlet and outlet areas. Clean any debris and obstructions that can
restrict air flow going into and out of the enclosure. See Figure 17 for the location of the
cooling air inlet and outlet areas.
