Programming the Remote Control
to Operate Other Components
The HDTV remote control is pre-programmed to operate your HDTV. However, you can also
program the HDTV remote control to operate other components, such as cable TV, a DSS,
a VCR or a DVD.

Refer to the remote control code tables on the following pages to find the number
that corresponds to the brand name of the component. If more than one number
is listed, try each one separately until you find the one that works.

Press the SELECT button repeatedly on the HDTV remote control until the
component indicator lights. For example, if you are programming the HDTV
remote control to operate your VCR, press SELECT on the remote control until
the VCR indicator is lit.

Press the SET button on the remote control. The component indicator will light for 30 seconds.
While the indicator is lit, enter the remote control code number (the number you identified in
step 1) using the number buttons.
Control code numbers must be three digits long. For example, to enter the code “6,” press 0, 0
and 6. To enter the code “76,” press 0, 7 and 6.
If the number is correct, the indicator will blink three times. If the indicator does not blink three
times, repeat steps 1 – 3 and try another code number.
