Creating a profile
1. Press <Options> and select New.
2. Specify profile parameters:
•
Set name: enter a profile name.
•
Access name: edit the access point name used
for the address of the GPRS network gateway.
•
Auth type: choose the type of authentication
used.
•
User ID: edit the user ID.
•
Password: enter the user password.
•
Protocol: select the protocol from between
HTTP and Other.
•
Home URL: (HTTP only) enter the URL address
of the page to be used as your homepage.
•
Proxy address/Port: (HTTP only) set the proxy
server address and port.
•
Linger time (sec.): (HTTP only) set a time
period after which the network is disconnected if
there has been no new data traffic in that time.
•
Advanced settings: provide you with the
following options:
Static IP: specify if you want to manually enter
an IP address; see the Local phone IP option.
If you want the IP address to be automatically
assigned by the server, remove the check mark.
Local phone IP: enter the IP address obtained
from the network operator, if you checked the
Static IP option.
Static DNS: specify if you want to manually
enter the Domain Name Server (DNS) address;
see the Server 1/Server 2 option.
If you want the address to be automatically
assigned by the server, remove the check mark.
Server 1/Server 2: enter the Domain Name
Server (DNS) addresses.
Traffic class: select the traffic class, if you
selected the PS network.
3. Press <Save> to save the profile.
Using profile options
From the profile list, press <Options> to access the
following options:
•
Edit: edit the selected profile.
•
New: add a new profile.
•
Rename: change the profile name.
•
Delete: delete the profile.
•
Restore: restore the changed settings to the
default status.
Your phone is suited for connecting to by
default. If you change the settings without first
checking with your service provider, the web
browser, MMS, and e-mail features may not
work properly.
