Using the ABC Mode
Use the
to
keys to enter your text.
1. Press the key labelled with the required letter:
• Once for the first letter
• Twice for the second letter
• And so on
Note
: To display a list of special characters, press
. See the table on page 47 for more
information on the characters available using
the keys.
2. Select the other letters in the same way.
Note
: The cursor moves to the right when you
press a different key. When entering the
same letter twice (or a different letter on the
same key), just wait for a few seconds for
the cursor to move right automatically, and
then select the next letter.
There are three shift options:
• Lower Case (no shift indicator)
• Initial Cap ( indicator)
• Caps Lock (
indicator)
Press the
key one or more times to display the
appropriate shift indicator in the bottom line of the
display and continue typing normally.
To insert a space, press the
key.
You can move the cursor by pushing
left or right.
To delete letters, press the
key. Press and hold
down the
key to clear the display.
