You can set up various options for using messaging
services.
Text messages
(Menu 5.5.5)
In this menu, you can set up default SMS message
information.
Common settings: provides you with the following
options:
• Reply path: allows the recipient of your message
to send you a reply through your message centre,
if your network supports this service.
• Delivery report: allows you to activate or
deactivate the report function. When this function
is activated, the network informs you whether or
not your message has been delivered.
• Character support: allows you to select a
character encoding type, either GSM-alphabet,
Unicode, or Auto. If you select Auto, the phone
automatically changes the encoding type from
GSM-alphabet to Unicode when you enter a
Unicode character.
When you select Unicode, the maximum number
of characters in a message is reduced by
approximately half. If your recipient’s phone does
not support Unicode characters, he/she may not
be able to read your message correctly. For

SMS profile: allows you to select a setting profile
to be used for SMS.
