3.3.2 Replacing Cards 

 

 

 

Removing Cables 

 

Replace a card after removing all cables connected to the card. 

 

The procedure for replacing a card is as follows: 

 

 

 

POWER TO THE CABINET MUST BE TURNED OFF BEFORE REMOVING CARDS.  

Failure to do so will damage the card, cabinet and/or corrupt the data moving along 
the data bus. 

 

1)  Turn off system power using the power switch in the back of the system.

2)  Extract the card by pulling the lever of the card carefully.

3)  Align the new card to the guardrail of the slot, and slide the new card into the slot. Then 

lock the lever in the front panel of the card  to fully secure  into the connector of the 

OfficeServ 7100 main card.
