5-2. DVM design process example (Cooling)
(As for both cooling and heating units, it is necessary to review its design for heating)
1) Determine design conditions

Design temperature
2) Select preliminary indoor unit for each zone
Ô
Determine the type of indoor unit
Ô
Check cooling load per zone
Ô
Product power supply: 3-phase, 380V, 50Hz
Ô
Max. piping length (outdoor unit to the farthest indoor unit): 60m
Level difference: -20m (‘-’ means outdoor unit is installed at a location lower than indoor unit.)
Ô
Considering design temperature condition, select a larger indoor unit model than indoor load values at the
cooling capacity table by each indoor unit. (If latent heat load value is known, select an indoor unit that meets
both latent heat load and sensible heat load.)
