Press SPEED repeatedly
until the speed you want
(SLP, SP, or LP) appears.
For more information on tape
speeds, see page A.2.

Select the television
channel you want by
pressing
CH or CH
or by using the number
buttons.
DISPLAY
If you are using the number
buttons to select the channel, press 0
before a single-digit channel number.
For example, to select channel 5,
press 0,5.

Press the REC button on
the remote control.
The TV/VCR automatically stops
recording when it reaches the end of
the tape.
The record indicator on
the control panel
iluminates and the
TV/VCR begins
recording.
Press STOP at any time to stop
recording.
We don’t recommend changing tape
speeds while a recording is in
progress. Doing so may cause
distortion of the picture during
playback.
When you’re finished recording,
rewind the tape to the beginning and
remove it from the TV/VCR to
protect the tape.
Editing While Recording
You can edit while recording, selecting only those scenes you want to record from the
current television program. This is especially helpful if you want to record a program
without the commercials.
