C. FILLING OF THE DRUMS BY "GRAVITY"
Check if the drums and the pump supply hoses are clean,
Do not fill the drums if they are not clean,
After the cleaning, flush with material (1/3), empty the drum and carry out the filling.
D. FILLING OF THE PRESSURE DRUMS
Disconnect the supply hose from air regulator if a quick release fitting is mounted; otherwise, adjust
the regulator to get a null pressure which depressurizes the circuits,
Depressurize the drum with the safety valve,
Take off the cover unscrewing the 6 closing wheels,
Fill the cup with product (minimum 1/3),
Locate correctly the tightness seal to close the cover,
By means of the regulator, adjust the air pressure according to the material viscosity.
E. START THE GEAR PUMPS
When starting for the first time, disconnect the material supply hoses (base and hardener) from the
static gun,
Before starting, make sure the pumps are coupled and operate correctly,
To start the pneumatic motor, adjust the air pressure by means of the knob located in the front part of
the unit. The motor operates when you trigger the gun or control the pedal (switch locating on flow
forcing position 1),
Before adjusting the mixing ratio, make sure the two materials flow regularly. Otherwise, check
air is no more in the supply hoses of the gear pumps. If a drain is needed, unscrew the fitting
on the exhaust of the pumps and check at the suction of the circuits that the inlet is regular for
each of the materials (base and hardener).
The flushing or change of the material must be carried out before the pot life.
10. PROPORTIONING PRINCIPLE
A. PROPORTIONING SYSTEM
A control system by mechanic variator
ensures the connection between the two
pumps.
The mechanic assembly enables to alter the
fluid feeding speed and consequently its
output.
To make the rotating speed of the
"hardener" pump vary (the speed of the
"base" pump still stays at 100%), use the
"proportioning ratio crank located on the
variator (scale from 0 to 40) inside the
frame.
The maximum speed corresponds to the
graduation 4.
The minimum speed corresponds to the
graduation 0.
