9. PREPARATION OF THE WORK STATION
Locate near the machine :
The resin drum (the temperature must be between 10° C / 50° F and 25° C / 77° F),
The hardener drum (the temperature must be between 10° C / 50° F and 25° C / 77° F),
An empty drum to recover the cleaning solvent.
A. SUPPLY OF COMPRESSED AIR TO THE MACHINE
The output expected depends first on the filtration quality and on the compressed air lubrication,
Before using the material, check the condition of the air filter and lubricator located on the machine,
The oil output must be regular and proportional to the air output consumption.
Recommended oil : Engler viscosity at 50° c / 122° F from 2 to 2.5,
Air consumption at 6 bars / 7 psi : 600 L / mn (injection)
900 L / mn (spraying)
B. START THE PUMPS
Before opening the drums, clean the cover to prevent from the pollution of the material with impurities
or foreign bodies,
If the material decants, you must knead until you get a homogeneous product before feeding.
Nota : When Isocyanate is used as hardener, we advice you to avoid manipulating it because it
increases the contact with air (eg : decantation). Isocyanate is sensitive to dampness that is in
ambiant air. We advice you to put the material under nitrogen to make it tight to air or to mount
a Silicagel filter on the side of the machine.
