Operation
ATTENTION!
During plowing the driving speed should be appropriate to existing road
conditions. During plowing driving faster than 25 km/hr is forbidden.
The
PSV, PSV Up (H)
plows are medium duty plows which are capable of withstanding
snow pressure of up to 6 tons. A schematic of permissible load distribution has been presented in

. These plows often operate on uneven terrain and are subject to
meeting immovable obstacles which the operator often can not see, especially when covered by
snow. For this reason the PSV plows have been equipped with a number of overload safeguards:
the first is the lateral coping system, which allows for overcoming slight diagonal bumps by
adjusting to them. Plow construction allows the plowshare to tilt right or left by 6° in relation to
the mount (

),

plow
the second are the side bumpers which protect the plow from side collisions with for example
a curb (
Fig. 3
“K”,
Fig. 4
“J”),
the third optional system are the folding blades - after encountering an obstacle the fold back by
35° allowing the plow to easily overcome these obstacles. The folding mechanism of the blade
with new rubber inserts allows the plow to drive over 12 cm curbs. It should be remembered
however that if the rubber insert becomes worn and is shorter by, for example 5 cm – this plow
can only drive over a curb 5 cm lower. If the user plows in an area where high curbs are present
he should change the rubber inserts more often.
